"Let’s dance in Cheonan!"

Cheonan World Dance Festival 2018 kicks off on Sep. 12th(Wendesday), being continued until Sep. 16th(Sat.) during 6 days.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Cheonan World Dance Festival offers more diverse programs than ever, according to its organizers Cheonan Foundation for Arts and Culture.

What is most noteworthy, is that Cheonan City invite Honorable Ambassadors, their Madames & senior diplomats from the Seoul Diplomatic Corps. following their successful famtour last year once again this year with a media partner NDNnews(www.ndnnews.co.kr) & Korea Amb. Friendship Culture Association. As sponsors, Cheonan-si, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chungcheongnam-do, Arts Council Korea, Korea Local Promotion Foundation, and last but not least Federation of International Dance Festival sponsor this Cheonan World Dance Festival 2018.

More importantly, Honorable Ambassadors & their Madames can join Korean Night Gala Dinner hosted by the Federation of Internatioanl Dance Festivals to be held next day on Sep. 13th evening(Thursday) at the Theater Hall, Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel Seoul.

Of course as usual, The festival will provide a lot of opportunities packed with fascinating sights to enjoy and the fun memories visitors will cherish, including the dance contest open to everyone. Also visitors can enjoy the large street dance parade passing through the center of the city, and the international dance competition that dancers from various countries will show their traditional dance for the audience’s memorable experience.

So far, a total of 14 countries' dancers from various countries around the world confirmed their participation including South Africa, Poland, Latvia, Spain, Guam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Botswana, Georgia, Turkey in addition to their gorgeous performances.

Main programmes will include Opening/Closing Ceremony, National Dance Competition, Street Dance Parade, International Dance Competition, Cheerleading Competition of University, Solo&Duet Competition, Funny Dance Battle, Fringe, Experience&Extra Event, according to its organizer.

The General Congress & the Korean Night Gala Dinner will serve as an another interesting venue to share exchanges between delegates & the Seoul Diplomatic Corps, according to its organizers.

Cheonan City mayor Bon-young Gu, President of Federation of International Dance Festivals said in a written interview to mark the 2018 Cheonan World Dance Festival: "The FIDAF which began with 30 member countries has grown to have 70 members in just 2 years. As a host of international dance festivals, it has successfully worked and communicated with global dance communities nurturing friendship in various dance events."

"The most significant achievement of FIDAF is that it has become a bridge of dance festivals happening across the globe. Dance brings people together. For that, I believe FIDAF is a champion of humanity as it brings peace and nurtures culture.
