“Mexico opposes strongly North Korea’s 6th nuclear experiment”
As a gesture to protest North Korea’s recent nuclear activities, Mexico Government banished North Korea
Amb. accredited to Mexico City in Mexico, expressing absolute
oppression about reclusive North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles development.
Without exception, Mexico Amb. Bruno Figueroa Fischer said in a
reception to mark the 207th anniversary of the Independence of Mexico
held in the Millennium Seoul Hilton on Sep. 15th evening despite of
recent Mexico earthquake: “Mexico opposes strongly North Korea’s 6th nuclear experiment which violates international law and poses
severe threat toward Asia and entire world”, supporting the
denuclearization policy on the Korean peninsular.
About such Mexico Government’s decision which purged North Korea Amb. to Mexico, deputy
minister Lee Jeong-kyu from MOFAT who was on hand to deliver his congratulatory
remarks on behalf of the Korean Government, expressed thanks for the
firm solidarity and support of the Mexican Government, adding the door
for dialogue remains open if North Korea gives up nuclear program and
chooses its right path toward peace and coexistence on the peninsular.
This year marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea
and Mexico, according to Amb. Bruno. Rather than elaborating on
diplomatic issues nevertheless, Bruno spared many parts of his speech
on explaining that a total of 1,600 Korean companies are contributing
to creating jobs in Mexico and direct flights between Incheon &
Mexico means a even more closer connectivity between the two
countries which shows a trade scale of 13.4 billion dollars last year.
After being accredited to Korea last April this year, Mexico Amb. Bruno
Figueroa Fischer has been expanding his Amb. duties briskly including
recent Jeju trip with his families with the Diplomatic Corps.
