Among a total of 70 recipients who were awarded with their excellent contribution & service for consumers in the nation, Mexico Amb. Bruno Figueroa, Spain Amb. Juan Ignacio Morro Villacian, Colombia Amb. Juan Carlos Caiza Rosero, Qatar Amb. H.E Mohammed Bin Ahmad Mohammed Hassan Al-Hayki and last but not least Charge d’Affaires a.i Mr. Luis Pablo Ossio Butillos received their coveted this year’s 2020 Friendship Amb. Awards from its organizer NDN Media Group & Korea Consumer Association at the 20th floor Intl Conference Hall, Korea Press Center on Feb. 11th afternoon.

As a backbone of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps.,Your Excellency has been playing a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations between Korea & Mexico from the beginning of accreditation on July, 2017, touching upon that I welcome the positive developments on the Korean Peninsula that started on the occasion of the Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang and if Korea joins to Pacific Alliance as an associate member country sooner or later, trade and investment between the two countries are expected to be doubled in the years to come.

During last two & half years since serving as Mexico Amb. to the Republic of Korea, Your Excellency has been enthusiastic in the processes the two nations expand their relations from existing trade which surpassed 20 billion dollars up to recent MIKTA parliamentary diplomacy in multi-dimension directions such as culture exchange, security, human rights, development and environment, to name just a few including many rooms of cooperations between Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's Fourth Transformation & President Moon Jae-in’s human-oriented national economic policy etc.

Starting from Jeonju Cultural Week, "Hola Spain!" last year through Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain's state visit to Korea last Oct., at the invitation of President Moon Jae-in, Your Excellency has been enthusiastic to promote 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Spain in 2020 which would serve as an opportunity to strengthen further the concrete ties between the two countries and cement the foundation for mutual development. Your Excellency has been soft-landing as Qatar Amb. to the Republic of Korea since presenting credentials on Nov. last year by hosting Qatar National Day successfully, giving a lecture on water diplomacy at the Cornerstone Academy, and last but not least by attending many foreign diplomatic functions to adapt Your Excellency to the Seoul Diplomatic Corps.

Stressing that there are more opportunities for Korean companies as Qatar progresses forward to finalizing construction project to host the 2022 World Cup in Doha, Your Excellency has been showing friendship's gesture which says, "I strongly believe that we still have many opportunities and a lot of work to do to further develop and strengthen our bilateral relations to serve the best interest of both people and countries." Moreover, Your Excellency allowed Korean public to awaken to the facts that Qatar Foundation is sponsoring to educate 10 million out of school children in poor countries across the world and the foreign policy of Qatar as well has accomplished many feats, including: sponsoring talks between the Taliban of Afghanistan and the U.S. in order to find a solution to the conflict in Afghanistan, to name just a few.

Embassy of The Plurinational State of Bolivia to the Republic of Korea

During last several years’ vacancy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia envoy in Korea, Your Charge d'Affaires a. i has been enthusiastic to enhance bilateral relations between Korea & Bolivia to a higher level through Bolivia-related cultural activities, regional trip participations and last but not least promotion of Bolivia tourism industry etc.

As a result, President Janine Añez hopes to have a very good relationship with South Korea while Korean cooperation areas with Bolivia, for which Bolivia continues to be a priority country are being expanded into education, health, public administration, rural development, and infrastructure, to name just a few. Thanks to Your Charge d'Affaires a. i’s brisk promotion activities, Koreans travel more and more to Bolivia, specifically to the “Salar de Uyuni” as there is a draft Visa Suppression Agreement to facilitate the entry of Korean tourists to Bolivia as well.
