The annual 2019 Korea First, World Best Awards Ceremony was held with the attendance of 4 honorable Best Amb. 2019 Awards recipients alongwith about 70 winners from various areas including local government cities, counties, corporations who amount to a total of 300 guests at the Momorial Hall, National Assembly on May 28th evening.

This year’s coveted 2019 Best Amb. Awards went to Rwanda Amb. Emma-Francoise Isumbingabo, Vietnam Amb. Nguyen Vu Tu, Zambia Amb. Wulbur Chisiya Simuusa, and last but not least Iraq Amb. Hayder Shiya AlBarrak in recognition of their excellent diplomatic activities & dedication to bolster bilateral relations between Korea & their respective countries.

Recognizing the importance of cooperations & partnerships with regional cities besides the central government, Your Excellency has been diligent in promoting cooperations & partnerships with local governments by the visits of North Jeolla Province to seek agricultural life as well as culture tourism cooperation ways, Busan Global Gathering 2019, and Youngju & Bongwha to seek cooperation with regional cities & counties for Vietnam multicultural families, to name just a few.

Moreover by paying special interest on encouraging Vietnam foreign students who amount to a total of approximately 1,000 students at Incheon University recently in addition to visiting Incheon Global Campus on April last year including Your Excellency’s excellent lecture, Your Excellency has been contributing to both countries’ education cooperation as well considerably conspicuously among Diplomatic Corps in Seoul.

In terms of Korea’s diplomacy diversification policy which wants to expand its diplomacy horizon to Africa and to strengthen mutual Korea-Africa partnership even more, Your Excellency has been an exemplary envoy among the African Diplomatic Corps. who seeks cooperation ways regarding Saemaeul Movement int’l development, economic cooperation and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, to name just a few areas.

Moreover to raise the low levels of awareness in Korea about Africa in general and about Zambia in particular, Your Excellency has been considerably diligent in participating in many cultural & tourism events, economic/business seminars and exhibitions, courtesy calls on key offices/organizations and visits to companies in earnest from last year when was celebrated under the theme, “Celebrating a Shared Future of Unity, Development & Prosperity” by the Embassy of Zambia.

Iraq Amb. to the Republic of Korea

Proposing DMZ peace tourism on April, last year, Your Excellency contributed to peace spread on the peninsula considerably, saying at the same time that the Seoul Diplomatic Corps. needs to understand the scene of peace by visiting DMZ now when a balmy wind of peace & harmony blows on the peninsula.

Moreover on the occasion of the 30th anniversary in terms of diplomatic ties between Korea & Iraq this year, Your Excellency has been diligent centering around the National Assembly from last year so that both countries’ exchange & cooperation can be more activated. So Korean public expects Your Excellency’s more interest & support so that Korean enterprises can take part in more many diverse fields such as Iraq reconstruction projects and defense industries, to name just a few, supplementing mutually supplementary economic structure about Iraq whose energy resources are profound and Korea whose technology power is excellent.

on the occasion of the 2019 Korea First, World Best Awards (6 pm, May 28th Tuesday, National Assembly Memorial Hall)

First of all on behalf of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps., I as Vietnam Amb. to the Republic of Korea would like to our sincere congratulations for hosting such prestigious Korea First, World Best Awards ceremony this evening at the Memorial Hall, National Assembly.

We Ambs. & diplomats understand that Korea First, World Best Awards has been endeavouring to seek such enterprises and products which accumulated consumer’s deep confidences with their ceaseless efforts in various areas, with the belief that Korea’s First is directly World’s Best. Encouraging such noble efforts with our heartfelt support, we 2019 Best Amb. Award recipient Ambs. also are very honored & privileged to be able to be selected as Best Ambs. in 2019 in recognition of our diplomatic activities.

In case of Vietnam, we attach same importance on forging good & mutual cooperative relations with local cities & counties in the Republic of Korea just like the Central Government. So I have been diligent recently in visiting Jeonlla Province, Busan Global Gathering 2019, Youngju City & Bongwha county etc. to seek & develop such mutual cooperative relations, to name just a few.

Such diplomatic activities seem to be recognized for me by the committee of Korea First, World Best Awards and also Vietnam attaches same importance to nurturing educational cooperation between the two countries, important assets of next generation & century. For that purpose as well, I have been visiting Incheon University & Incheon Global Campus to encourage our Vietnam students who are studying there.
