In recognition of their excellent diplomatic activities between Korea & their respective countries, 5 Honorable Ambs who received the prestigious Friendship Amb. Award from the NDNnews(www.ndnnews.co.kr) & Korea Culture Ambassador Friendship Association with the support of Korea Consumer Association were Peru Amb. Daul Jesus Enrique Matute-Mejia, Colombia Amb. Juan Pablo Rodriguez Barragan, Fiji Amb. Periana Tagimaucia Lalabalavu, Croatia Amb. Damir KUSEN, and last but not least Nigeria Amb. Amin Muhammad Dalhatu.

Your Excellency has been showing special interest & passion for bolstering trade with Korea since presenting credentials on Feb., last year, saying: “I want to see an increase in exports through diversification, I expect more economic cooperation to come from small- and medium-sized enterprises in Korea, for potential investors I recommend automobiles, chemicals, renewable energies, IT and agribusiness in addition to infrastructure, to name just a few.”
Commanding Colombia's Armed Forces, the Army, the Joint Special Operations Command and the Fifth Army Division during last 42-year military service, Your Excellency allowed us to reaffirm its unwavering friendship with Korea since the 1950-53 Korean War when it was the only South American country to send troops for U.N. collation forces, showing recently especial discussions about defense field cooperation as well including Korea’s defense industry export to Colombia.

It is a great honor for me as the Ambassador of Peru to be with you on this special occasion.
First of all, on behalf of the Republic of Peru, I would like to congratulate the Seoul Diplomatic Corps for hosting the 2019 Korea Consumer Awards, as well as congratulate the other four Ambassadors who receive this recognition, just like me. In this occasion, I will address this speech on behalf of all of them.
We understand that the host purpose of this Korea Consumer Awards is to stand out important personalities and companies which lead the improvement of life quality for citizens and consumers as well as the protection of their rights & interests.
Thanks to such noble purpose, this Korea Consumer Awards maximizes publicity effect in addition to image improvement of the corporate or country brand. Moreover, by discovering such corporations, individuals and institutions blessed with competitiveness, credibility & public interest, we diplomats understand that Korea Consumer Awards presents opportunities to make a right choice, elevating their competitiveness by assessing & encouraging countries and companies’ excellence & achievements by fields.
We award-winning ambassadors also are very honored & privileged to be able to receive such prestigious & covetable Friendship Ambassador Award in consideration of the importance of Korea Consumer Awards among the others Awards given in Korea and terms of strategic cooperation between Korea and the countries of the award-winning ambassadors in this ceremony.
I don´t want to finish these words, without expressing on behalf of the Peruvian government, our sincere desire for the success of the dialogues between the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, that can lead to a near age of peace and prosperity in the Korean Peninsula.
I want to say that I accept this award and I dedicate it to Peruvian people and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of my country. I humbly receive this recognition. I will remember this day my whole life.
