It is not well known to the general Korean public that there are unlimited possibilities of defense cooperations between Korea & Mexico. This is attributed to a degree that Korea’s defense cooperations are oriented to U.S relatively so far rather than other countries.

In that sense, a Commemorative reception of the Day of the Mexican Army & Air Force held at the Army Club, R.O.K Ministry of National Defense served as a good opportunity for participants including many defense attaches from each Embassies to awaken those facts as last year’s Seoul Security Dialogue shows well.

Touching upon governmental policies of current Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador since Dec. 1st, 2018, Mexico Amb. Figueroa Fischer to the Republic of Korea said public safety & corruption eradication are most priority tasks of current Mexico government, naming an increase of minimum wage, public infra enlargement, welfare stabilization etc. to elevate the living standard of Mexican peoples as another governmental policy priorities as well.
