-Azerbaijan's new administration new city project must be again operated.

Former Korean Amb. To Azerbaijan Lee Kwang-chul asked like this the support from the Embassy of Azerbaijan so that Azerbaijan's new administrative city project initiated by Korea's LH whose contract letter is still alive, can be again operated.

Amb. Lee advised for the proper implementation of the Azerbaijan's new administration city proejct to propel with its individual tailor-made approach rather than its comprehensive approach as desirable. Moreover, private enterprise-oriented invesment is desirable and sufficient time & efforts must be devoted, not to hurry, he added.

National Assembly's seminar to illuminate a century of the Azerbaijan Republic held last weeek on Nov. 19th noon, provided a good opportunity to understand past & today's Azerbaijan and last but not least to assess current bilateral relations between Korea & Azerbaijan and beyond it.

Reflecting such big interest, Bangladesh Amb. Abida Islam, Georgia Amb. Otar Berdzenishi, Lebanon Amb. Antoine Azzam, Kuwait Amb. Bader Mohammad Al-Awadi, Qatar Amb. Mohamed Abdulla Al-Dehaimi, Belarus Amb. Andrei Popkov, Iraq Amb. Hayder Shiya Al-Barrak were attending among the Seoul Diplomatic Corps.

First of all, chairman Lee Myung-soo from the Korea-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group emphasized the long friendship between the two nations dating back to 1,300 years ago, referring to a Silkroad and same Altay cultural circle in terms of their language origin.

Azerbaijan Amb. Ramzi Teymurov divided a century of Azerbaijan Republic into the three phases, that is, the 1st Republic(1918-1920), the 2nd Republic (1920-1991) and the 3rd Republic (1991-to date), adding in terms of both histories of sufferings & distress, the two countries have common similarties which have sought for the nation's identity & independence.

Touching upon its capital Baku, Teymurov said it is a hub of an energy geographics, a treasure of oil gas as well as an UNESCO culture city.

On the occasion of its Azerbaijan 100 years prior to this seminar, the Embassy of Azerbaijan hosted a concert dedicated to 100 years anniversary of the state independence of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine which was held on February 21, 2018.

Concert by Two Violins Band from Ukraine dedicated to 100 years anniversary of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine was co-hosted by the Embassies of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine at the Small Theatre of Yongsan Art Hall Seoul on February 21, 2018. Musical compositions of famous Azerbaijani, Georgian and Ukrainian composers, as well as world classics were performed by violinist Ilya Bondorenko and pianist Olyona Jukova.

Photos reflecting history, nature and picturesque places of capital Baku, souvenirs reflecting Azerbaijani culture were displayed at Azerbaijani corner created in the framework of the event.

Official reception dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was held in a downtown Hotel Seoul on May 21st

Today the Republic of Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev as the independent, sovereign and democratic country brings into the reality the aspirations and ideals of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic with its good and effective management, socio-economic and human capital development as well as its growing role and prestige in international relations, said Azerbaijan Amb. Ramzi Teymurov by his speech during its welcome ceremony.

On May 28, 1918 the first parliamentary democracy in the Muslim world - Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was founded with the adoption of Declaration on Independence, according to the Embassy Azerbaijan Seoul. Moreover as stated in the Declaration of Independence, establishment of friendly relations with all nations, especially neighboring nations and states, was determined as one of the foreign policy priorities of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

Against such backdrop, the Azerbaijani people treasuring the statehood policy of the national leader Heydar Aliyev celebrate the centennial anniversary of their independence this year with the heightened sense of pride and particular spirit of festivity, stressed Teymurov.

Recently, Azerbaijan Amb. Teymurov unfoldled his diplomatic activities in giving interview to “The Diplomat” program of Arirang TV of Korea., participating at the Opening Ceremony of the Seoul Defense Dialaogue 2018 held on September 12-14, 2018 and participating at the Jeonnam International Sumuk (Ink Paint) Festival in Jeonnam Province of Korea, according to the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
