-Collaborate & Innovate with Korea!

On the occasion of the FORCA (Korea Foreign Company Association) 40th anniversary, FORCA hosted its 2018 Foreign Company Day as part of the Invest Korea Week 2018 in a Gangnam-based area hotel on Nov. 5th evening with a motto, ‘Collaborate & Innovate with Korea’.

Touching upon the fact that foreign companies in Korea account for 6% of the entire companies and play a pivotal role for the development of Korean economy, FORCA chairman Sung-hyun Lee said: “About 16,000 foreign-invested companies operating in Korea are actually contributing to the development of national economy, including creation of new jobs, improving trade balance, attracting foreign investments, and settlement of advanced technologies and management culture.”

Reflecting the interest from the Seoul Diplomatic Corps., EU Amb. Michael Reiterer, Myanmar Amb. Thura H Thet Oo Maung, Laos Amb. Khamsouay Keodalavong, Guatemala Amb. Herbert Esturdo Meneses Coronado, Iraq Amb. Hayder Shiya Al-Barrak, Latvia Amb. Peteris Vaivars, Kuwait Amb. Bader Mohammad Al-Awadi, Azerbaijan Amb. Ramzi Teymurov, Peru Amb. Daul Jesus Enrique Matute etc. were on hand.

On next day, the Invest Korea Week 2018 took place during 3 days at the Intercontinental Seoul Hotel. IKW is a promotional IR event that informs foreign investors about Korea's attractive investment environment and introduces success strategies for investing in Korea along with promising investment opportunities.

Every year since 2006, IKW has stood as the largest investment attraction event in Korea. In a nutshell, Invest Korea Week (IKW), hosted by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(MOTIE) and organized by Korea Trade-Investment Promotiona Agency (KOTRA) is Korea’s largest international investment promotion event.

According to KOTRA, IKW is committed to bridging foreign investors and Korean companies in finding business opportunities in Korea and beyond.

Last year, over 2,000 attendess, including foreign investors, foreign and local press, executives of Korea companies, local government officials, free economic zone authorities and other related organizations’s representatives, participated in IKW 2017.
