With the inauguration of H.E. Peniana Tagimaucia Lalabalavu, Ambassador of Fiji greeted Korea-Fiji relations a new turning point.

Hosting Fiji Day Celebration on the occasion of the 48th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Fiji, Madame Amb. Lalabalavu met Fiji residents in Korea as well as MOFA officials and last but not least journalists to publicize Fiji and to seek helps from various circles in Korea.

Prior to this, H.E. Peniana Tagimaucia Lalabalavu, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Fiji to the Republic of Korea called on Honorable. Mr. Chang Jae-Bok, Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs and Chief of Protocol of the Republic of Korea at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Korea located in Seoul on 18 September 2018, according to the Embassy of Fiji.

H.E. Lalabalavu succeeds former Fijian Ambassador Filimone Kau who ended his tour of duty in Korea in September last year. During the call, Ambassador-Designate Lalabalavu and the Chief of Protocol exchanged views on Fiji-Korea bilateral relations as well as advancements made in the Pacific region through continued cooperation and partnerships between the two countries.

Peniana Tagimaucia Lalabalavu, Fiji Embassy has been participating in the 33rd Korea World Travel Show (KOTFA), the 2018 Hanatour International Travel Show(HITS) under the initiative of Charge d’Affaires a.i. Joreti Dakuwaqa.

2018 KOTFA Seoul attracted hundreds of visitors and potential tourists to Fiji who visited the booth to enquire on Fijian culture, lifestyle, accommodation and resorts, and holiday destinations within Fiji, studying English, opportunities for business and investment potential and followed–up on general queries relating to Fiji as a holiday destination, according to Joreti.

Investment Fiji also attracts many attentions from global investors, encouraging Why not? Invest, Visit, Work, Study or simply Live in FIJI and experience the invigorating combination of a unique lifestyle and thriving business opportunities.

Peniana Tagimaucia Lalabalavu says: “Fiji offers many opportunities in the traditional economic sectors as well as in rapidly growing sectors like ICT, Manufacturing, Tourism, Mining, Food Processing, Services and Resource-based sectors, to name a few. “

Fiji has a long and positive track record in attracting investors from all over the world, many of whom have re-invested in multiple projects and operating in Fiji.
