“The two countries can pave the way for the future jointly”, Amb. SULTAN

Cultural event to mark the 26th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea & Kyrgyz Republic took place at the National Assembly Auditorium on last Sat. (Aug. 25th) under the auspieces of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic Seoul.

Touching upon the fact that bilateral diplomatic ties were inked on Jan. 31st, 1992, Kyrgyz Amb. Kylychbek Sultan pointed out by his welcome speech that the two countries can pave the way for the future jointly, sharing similar mindset of the two peoples.

From the standpoint of the NDNnews(www.ndnnews.co.kr) as well, H.E. Kylychbek Sultan is an important partner in terms of the fact that he has been diligently attending in many NDNnews regional trip programs as well as contributing his articles regarding North Korea’s denuclearization problem on the peninsula in addition to his country National Day articles, to name just a few.

As far as we remember, Kyrgyz Amb. Kylychbek Sultan joined Changwon famtour last Jan. this year as well as Yeoncheon DMZ trip on May 4th.

As regarding his contribution article, he contributed his article regarding recent Inter-Korean relations as follows to be inserted into the Sep. Issue of the Seoulcity magazine: “Kyrgyz Republic welcomes the forthcoming high-level talks between President of the Republic of Korea, H.E. Mr. Moon Jae-in and Leader of Democratic People's Republic of Korea, H.E. Mr. Kim Jong-un, scheduled for September 2018 in Pyeongyang.

Kyrgyz Republic, being committed to the goals of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and disarmament, and being an active participant and depositary of the Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia, is convinced that the results of the forthcoming Inter-Korean summit will undoubtedly contribute to the favorable development of Inter-Korean relations and the strengthening of peace and security in the region and at the global level.”

Anyway, The Kyrgyz Republic is located in the north-east of Central Asia, occupying part of the Tien-Shan and Pamir – the chain of Northern Altai. Borders are mainly on natural boundaries - the crests of high mountain ranges and rivers, and only in some places down to the plains of Chui, Talas and Fergana Valley.
