Portugal’s Lisbon hopes to serve as a hub of the Atlantic way of business & Europe for Korean companies.

Portugal delegation who were consisted of Ms. Ines de Medeiros, Almada City Hall, president, Mr. Rui Coelho, Invest Lisboa, Executive Director and Ms. Maria Joao Santos, Seixal City Hall, president advisor etc., had their presentation meeting with local journalists at the Porgutal Amb’s residence located in Itaewon Seoul.

Their visit purpose was to introduce large scale’s construction projects/investment whose plans are scheduled during several years, to propel their feasibility regarding partnerships with Korean construction large conglemerates and last but not least to share experience & knowledge regarding regional development with Korean partners etc.

First off, Executive director Mr. Rui Coelho from Invest Lisboa introduced that Lisbon South Bay is a Portuguese project totally committed to your business growth. Lisbon South Bay is located on the South bank of River Tejo, thus the name, in the magnificent coast of the Atlantic, according to their explanation.

“We are the perfect location for multinationals that value central industrial, logistics and urban locations, a cooperating public administration, skilled hard working people and key-access to the Atlantic Ocean”, according to Rui.

As regarding its 3 regions, first of all Almada region stands out for its strategic location, just a few miles off Lisbon, Portugal’s capital city, and for its distinctive river-way, railway and roadway facilities, according to president Ms. Ines de Medeiros, Almada City Hall.

Secondly, Barreiro region has a unique space for the development of logistic-port, industrial and technological activity. And last but not least, thirdly business park Seixal offers a wide variety of spaces and industrial land, for lease or sale, tailored to each customer’s business, strengthening the existing industrial activity in the territory.

In a nutshell, we want to establish Lisbon South Bay as the birthplace of an Atlantic way of doing business for global and pan-European companies, the delegation said.
