Western islands of Taiwan – Penghu

With the coming of summer, here is a nice choice for your vacation – Penghu. Formed with volcanic rocks, these vocanic islands look just like Jeju-do in Korea. The beautiful beaches, seafood and the splendid volcanic rocks in Penghu will surely bring you a refreshing travel experience. Besides, there are many places for sightseeing on the main island – Magong: Rainbow Bridge, Temple of Sea Goddess, Four-eye Well, Old Street, Sea-crossing Bridge, Huge banyan trees and many museums. Penghu is located to the west of Taiwan, between China and Taiwan. Most people visit there by planes from Taiwan, about 30 minutes. You can also take boats there, about 90 minutes from Taiwan. The islands are natural and most of the time, not crowded. So, find a beach you like. Feel the white sand. You are now embraced by the shining sunshie and pleasant breeze. All you need to do is to enjoy your beach vacation in silence. Own the sunrise, the sunset, and all the other beautiful scenery.

When you go swimming, snorkeling or walking along the seashore, find the various kinds of sea creatures, like shells, crabs, jellyfish, sting rays, fish and sea cucumbers. Visit local markets and fish markets. Seafood in Penghu is famous. It’s fresh and clean because there are no factories. Rice noodles with squid is the most famous dish.

Spendid columnar basalt is everywhere. Some are high. Some are dark.

Some has special shapes. All make you praise the mother nature.
