“More close cooperations between Korea & Italy are needed"
Through the 1st World Italia Science Day, it was apprarent
that more close cooperations between Korea & Italy are
needed in terms of the several facts that Italy is a science
power as a nation of 10 science powers in the world, proving
the productivity of Italy scientists.
To commemorate the 1st Italia Science Day, the Embassy
of Italy hosted a commerative press conference at the Italy Amb.’s residence Seoul, showing that Italy is also strong in the
fields of mechanics, aerospace, electronic engineering and
multimedia part as well.
According to the Embassy of Italy, Nobel prize winners
in the past science field from Italy inclues Camillo Golgi
in 1906, Guglielmo Marconi in Physics in 1909, Enrico
Fermin in Physics in 1938, Daniel Bovet in 1957, Emilio
Segre in Physics in 1959, Giulio Natta in chemistry in 1963,
Salvatore Luria & Renato Dulbecco in physiology medicine
in 1969 & 1978 respectively, Carlo Rubbia in physics in 1984,
Rita Levi-Montalcini in 1986, Riccardo Giacconi in 2002 and last but
not least Mario Capecchi in 2007.
Italy Amb. Marco Dellaseta said that the future prospect
of bilateral cooperations in the fields of science &
technology is bright, adding joint seminars as well as
symposiums in 2018 will include Workshop on Human
Microbiome on May 10, Infectious diseases Symposium
on June 14-15, Workshop on Hydro-Geology on Sep. 10-11, Occupational medicine Symposium on Sep. 13-14, Underground Physics Symposium on Oct. 2-3, Bio-Robotics Symposium on Nov. 6-7, Forum on IoT/4.0 industrial
revolution on Nov. 12-14, and last but not least Workshop on
Sustainable fishery
on Dec. 13-14.
