Kazakhstan shows its attractive location, serving as a linking route
between the West and the East.
Butressed by mutual complementary economic structure between
Korea & Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan can be served as the most optimal
partner for cooperating with Central Asian countries from the
perspective of the Republic of Korea.
Above-mentioned facts were revealed by the speech of Kazakhstan Amb.
Dulat Bakishev as well as vice minister Kim Chang-kyu who serves as standing committee member from the Trade
Committee at the diplomatic reception to mark the 26th
Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan
as well as the 25th Anniversary of Korea-Kazakhstan Diplomatic relations, held in JW Mariott Dongdaemoon
last week.
First off, by his welcome remarks Bakishev expressed thanks for
strategic partnerships forged between the two nations. Traditionally,
Kazakhsan pursues pragmatic multidimensional diplomatic
approach. In that sense, it is very significant that Kazakhstan
was elected as a non-permament member country of the 2018 UN Security Council
whose rights were bestowed upon Kazakhstan to maintain world
peace and safety of the UN Charter for the first time among
Central Asian countries, said Bakishev. Kazakhstan’s term as a non-permanent member country of the UN Security Council is from
Jan. 1, 2017 until Dec. 31, 2018
Since its dependence in last 1991, Kazakhstan has been called a
giant in the Central Asia thanks to its government’s excellent leadership, vice minister Kim Chang-kyu said. As regarding The Strategy for development of the
Republic of Kazakhstan until the year 2030 which shows such
Kazakhstan government’s leadership, In October 1997 the President
of the Republic of
Kazakhstan in his Address to the people of the country «Prosperity,
security and ever growing welfare of all the Kazakhstanis» presented
the Strategy for development of the Republic of Kazakhstan until the year 2030.
The "Kazakhstan-2030" Strategy outlined a long-term way of development of the sovereign republic, directed
at transforming the country into one of the safest, most stable,
ecologically sustained states of the world with a dynamically
developing economy. The "Kazakhstan-2030" Strategy for development provides implementation of
seven long-term priorities:
National security.
Domestic political stability and consolidation of the society.
Economic growth based on an open market economy with high
level of foreign investments and internal savings.
Health, education and well-being of kazakhstani citizens.
Power resources.
Infrastructure, more particularly transport and communication.
Professional state.
These priorities served as a basis for building country’s
development plans for medium-term and long-term periods. The Strategic plan for development of the
Republic of Kazakhstan until the year 2010, approved by the
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in
December, 2001 became the first long-term stage of
implementation of the "Kazakhstan-2030" Strategy. The next stage of implementation of the "Kazakhstan-2030" Strategy is the Strategic plan for development of the
Republic of Kazakhstan until the year 2020.
