-Fine Arts, within the framework of the diffusion and appreciation of Bolivian Art
The embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia and the Korean
Foundation, supported by Dante Chumacero - Fine Arts, within the
framework of the diffusion and appreciation of Bolivian Art, are
pleased to present the renowned artists: Roberto Mamani Mamani
and Piraí Vaca, in two events in Seoul.
"Mother Earth (Pachamama) Colors and the Andean Cosmovision", is
the new exhibit of the Bolivian artist Roberto Mamani Mamani that
brings together a collection of 32 works that make up a retrospective
of the last years of his long career. The selected works emphasize Mamani’s characteristic colors and expand his artistic vision to the Bolivian
Amazon. The opening of the exhibition and welcome reception will
be held on October 25, 2017 at hrs. 17:00 at the Gallery of Korea Foundation.
Piraí Vaca is recognized as one of the best guitarists in Latin America.
He is currently touring Asia. He presents an elegant and varied concert,
playing compositions from international composers such as Albéniz
or Tárrega and Bolivians Luna and Rojas, among others. The concert
will take place in the auditorium of Korea Foundation, on October
26th at hrs. 19.00.
Established in 1991, Korea Foundation is a government entity with
the mission of promoting and spreading Korean culture in the world
and strengthening friendly ties with the countries of the world. This
is the first time that Bolivia has been invited to be part of its event program.
