With its theme, "Let's Dance in Cheonan!", the 14th Cheonan
World Dance Festival kicks off in Cheonan Samgeori Park,
Cheonan City, Republic of Korea on upcoming Sep. 13th. until Sep. 17th..
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism,
Chungcheongnamdo and last but not least the Federation of
International Dance Festival etc, The Cheonan Dance Festival
attracted a total of 1.2 million visitors in 2016, emerging
as the best global festival in the nation.

Designated as regional representative performance arts festival
during last 4 consecutive years by the Ministry of Culture,
Sports & Tourism, this year's Cheonan World Dance Festival
is started with a festival showcase (pre-special performance)
in 6 areas such as Seoul Myungdong, Gangnam, Gangbuk as well as
Kyunggi Bucheon and Goyang City etc. on Sep. 12th in advance.

Participating countries which send their dance teams to Cheonan around the
world, include Bulgaria, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, Seychelles,
the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Malaysia, etc.
In order to celebrate its 14th anniversary, Cheonan World Dance
Festival offers more diverse programs than ever, providing a lot of
opportunities packed with fascinating sights to enjoy and the fun
memories you will cherish, including the dance contest open to everyone.
Participating envoy, their spouses, & senior diplomats can enjoy
the large street dance parade passing through the center of the city
with the general public, and the international dance competition
that dancers from various countries show their traditional dance
for the audience's memorable experience.

Excellencies, Madames and senior diplomats who will attend the
famtour of the 2017 Cheonan World Dance Festival, will experience
extra event as well as World Dance Performance A(at 10:00),
Community Gathering for Harmony (14:00), welcome reception
(17:00), and last but not least Opening Ceremony/Celebration
Concert.
Natioanl Dance Competition will take place from Sep. 14th through
Sep. 17th at Main Stage & Bud-Namoo Stage, Cheonan Samgeori Park
with categories of student, general, Heungtaryeong, Silver.
Street Dance Parade takes place on Sep. 15th (18:30-22:00)
at the section of 0.55km between Bangugan Ogeori and Terminal
Sageori while 37 teams with 2,000 individuals are expected to
join it with the categories of international groups, students,
dance groups, and others(no limitation)
Cheerleading Competition of University also takes place at Main
Stage & Bud-Namoo Stage, Cheonan Samgeori Park on Sep. 16th
with qualifications of cheerleading teams belongings to a college
in Korea.
Besides, Funnay Dance Battle, Solo & Duet Competition, Fringe,
Experience & Extra Event, other events including Neungsojeon, Community
Gathering for Harmony, Teen Contest, and Contest of the Elderly
are expected to attract big interest both from Diplomatic Corps. and
from visitors at home & abroad.
