“Partner pursuing mutually-beneficial relationship and a trustworthy friend for over 50 years”
Despite its scarce resources, Jordan is a country which is committed to humanitarian aid
for Syrian refugees.
Jordan Amb. Adel Mohammad Adaileh mentioned such noble facts during his recent
two speeches, that is, in a congratulatory remarks for the participants of Intl We LoveU
Foundation Wakhaton held at the Seoul Worldcup Stadium Park in which The NDNnews
took part as a media partner and in his Embassy diplomatic reception to mark 71st
Anniversary of Jordan Independence Day & 55th Anniversary of diplomatic ties between
Korea & Jordan held at the Hotel Shilla on May 22nd evening, respectively.
Adaileh promised that our government will continue to adhere to an open-door policy and provide all services according to the needs of the refugees.
In terms of relations with The NDNnews (www.ndnnews.co.kr) as well as the Korea
Culture Ambassador Friendship Association as well, Jordan Amb. Adaileh & his families
have been enthusiastic participants for the NDNnews regional tour programs including
their participation to the 2016 Kwangju World Kimchi Festival, 2017 PyeongChang
Invitation Trip to Gangwon Province PyeongChang in addition to the 2016 Friendship
Award bestowed upon Amb. Adaileh by The NDNnews at the end of March at the
National Assembly.
So for the NDNnews, Jordan Amb. Adaileh’s remarks that last nine months has not only been exciting time to learn more about
Korea, its great people, and rich culture for myself and my family, but I felt much
privileged to witness at first hand, the background of its development and advancement,
as well as its abundant historical heritage, allowed us to be very sympathetic during his
speech.
From the political perspective, Adaileh said that we, Jordanians, are proud of the
achievements made under the guidance of His Majesty King Abdullah II to consolidate
the position of Jordan as one of the most peaceful and secure countries in the Middle
East, while upholding the peace and security for the region and around the World.
Diplomatically, he commented that Jordan was one of the first countries in the Middle
East to establish the diplomatic ties with Korea, and has remained as a partner pursuing
mutually-beneficial relationship and a trustworthy friend for over 50 years.
From the standpoint of economic cooperations, Jordan Amb. pointed out by saying:
“In the last few years, there have been more calls for business cooperation and
collaboration between Jordan and Korea, and more Korean companies are taking an
active role in some of the major projects in various fields in Jordan, including the
construction of infrastructure, nuclear power reactors, solar and wind energy plants.”.
Turning to the cultural aspect, the popular Korean drama series "Misaeng" has allowed
the Korean audience to have a glimpse of some of the most breathtakingly scenic
beauties of Jordan, as the series were filmed in Petra, Wadi Rum, and the capital city,
Amman, Adaileh said.
