Elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was hold on a high,
modern, democratic ways with the good possibilities for voters. In every
region and district was created all possibilities. Voters were informed by
mass media, television channels and radio during the 1 month.
There were 4 candidates from the 4 various parties. The mass media of
Uzbekistan were providing equal conditions in terms of duration and volume
for coverage of the candidates’ electoral campaigning in news and other
informational programmes. All the candidates participated in the elections
with positives and they tried to show their program about the future of
the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the same time they explained how each of
them can provide country with good stability.
The first candidate Sarvar Otamuradov is from the Democratic party of
Uzbekistan <<Milliy Tiklanish>>. His program is based on Uzbek national
traditions which takes many centuries of Uzbek history.
The second candidate is Shavkat Mirziyoev from the movement of
Entrepreneurs and Business people – liberal democratic party of Uzbekistan.
(UzLiDep). His main aim is to update and enhance the way of developing
to the new high level and increase economy of the country.
The third candidate is Khatamjan Ketmanov is from the People’s Democratic party of Uzbekistan. He wants to make the lives of
social sphere much more better and provides with the best possibilities.
And the last one the fourth candidate is Narimon Umarov from the
Social - democratic party of Uzbekistan <<Adolat>>. (Justice). His
program provides the guarantee of the rules.
The election campaign in Uzbekistan is progressing in the spirit of an
open contest. To observe the process of the elections were invited
many organizations such as the Commonwealth of Independent States
(CIS), Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), more than 300 observes
and 100 journalists from the different countries as USA, Netherlands,
France, Germany, Belgium, Russian Federation and etc. Furthermore
was organized the <<Press Club>> for journalists and observers to
make the observing much more easy, comfortable.
As is written before the candidates presented their program during 1
month and on 3-december that day before elections day, the run were
stopped. So we can see that the elections in Uzbekistan are going
on a democratic way and based on the International Election Standards.
On my visit to Samarkand I was at the 39 and 49 election sections
and observed them. They were provided with well-done possibilities and I witnessed myself that the rights of the
citizens in Uzbekistan are under the rules and protected by them. All
the election sections were provided these kind of possibilities.
